I found the book at a used book store, and I’m trying to place a catalog order for all the parts I need. Anyone have a list or recommendations?
Radio shack sells a really good electronics learning lab kit: two lab books full of projects. You get everything you need with this kit , proto boards and everything, wires, components. And this kit only cost like $40-$50 dollars if you have the money.
There are local electronic supply stores near I’m sure. I live in Southern California and I have live 3 or 4 near me.

Forest M Mimms is very good btw, he has many good books out, full of basic projects. He is a legend.
I want to upgrade my sounds on my new car but know absolutely nothing about it. Where can I learn about the physics about car audio so I can make a good choice on what to buy?
whatever you do make sure that the sites you are looking at is fact based not opinion based, www.bcae1.com is probably your best place to start. It gives you all the start up knowledge you need to know.
For questions I would say either post them on www.the12volt.com or here. Most sites are very opinionated about certain products and don’t like them just because they aren’t the users preferred brands.
But no matter where you go this always remains the same. Don’t buy audiobahn, sony, pyle, lanser, boss, kole, or any other low end brand because it is a waste of money and you will be replacing soon after you buy it because it is crap
